कोरोना वायरस की जेनेरिक दवा (Coronavirus generic medicine) पांच राज्‍यों को भेज दी गई है। हैदराबाद में बेस्‍ड कंपनी हेटरो (Hetero) ने रेमडेसिवीर (Remdesivir) का जेनेरिक वर्जन कोविफोर (COVIFOR) के नाम से बनाया है। कंपनी ने 20,000 वायल की पहली खेप दिल्‍ली, महाराष्‍ट्र, गुजरात और तमिलनाडु जैसे राज्‍यों में भेजी हैं जो कोरोना से बुरी तरह प्रभावित हैं। तेलंगाना की राजधानी हैदराबाद, जहां ये कंपनी है, वहां भी दवा की पहली खेप यूज होगी। हेटरो के मुताबिक, कोविफोर का 100 मिलीग्राम का वायल 5,400 रुपये में मिलेगा। कंपनी ने अगले तीन-चार हफ्तों में एक लाख वायल तैयार करने का टारगेट सेट किया है।

अभी यह इंजेक्‍शन हैदराबाद में कंपनी की फॉर्म्‍युलेशन फैसिलिटी में बन रहा है। दवा का ऐक्टिव फार्मास्‍यूटिकल इन्‍ग्रीडिएंट (API) विशाखापट्नम की यूनिट में बनाया जा रहा है। दवा की अगली खेप भोपाल, इंदौर, कोलकाता, पटना, लखनऊ, रांची, भुवनेश्‍वर, कोच्चि, विजयवाड़ा, गोवा और त्रिवेंद्रम भेजी जाएगी। फिलहाल यह दवा केवल अस्‍पतालों और सरकार के जरिए मिल रही है, मेडिकल स्‍टोर्स पर नहीं।
बता दें कि दवा कंपनी सिप्‍ला (Cipla) ने रेमडेसिवीर बनाने वाली अमेरिकन कंपनी Gilead Sciences Inc के साथ एक लाइसेंसिंग एग्रीमेंट साइन किया है। सिप्‍ला भी यह दवा बनाएगी और बेचेगी। कंपनी का कहना है कि उसकी दवा 5,000 रुपये से कम में उपलब्‍ध होगी। भारत में ऐलोपैथिक दवाओं के रेगुलेटर, ड्रग कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DGCI) ने सिप्‍ला और हेटरो, दोनों को गंभीर कोविड-19 मरीजों पर रिस्‍ट्रक्‍टेड इमर्जेंसी यूज के लिए दवा बनाने और बेचने की परमिशन दी है।
DGCI इससे पहले ऐंटीवायरल दवा फेविपिराविर (Favipiravir) का जेनेरिक वर्जन बनाने के लिए ग्लेनमार्क फार्मास्युटिकल्स (Glenmark Pharmaceuticals) को भी परमिशन दे चुका है। कंपनी फैबिफ्लू (FabiFlu) के नाम से यह दवा बनाती है। 34 टैबलेट की एक पूरी स्ट्रिप 3,500 रुपये में उपलब्‍ध होगी यानी एक टैबलेट करीब 103 रुपये की पड़ेगी। FabiFlu दवा को माइल्ड से मॉडरेट सिम्‍प्‍टम्‍स वाले मरीजों के इलाज में इस्‍तेमाल किया जाएगा। यह ड्रग अस्‍पतालों और प्रिस्क्रिप्‍शन पर मेडिकल स्‍टोर्स में मिलेगा।
